ONLINE CLASS SCHEDULE

Hello! Welcome! Thank you for your interest in my online classes!

To be added to the mailing list to receive Zoom links to the classes, or for any other information, please send me a message using the contact form below or an email directly to loderj@gmail.com.

Thank you!

  • ** THIS CLASS IS CURRENTLY PAUSED Sundays, 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. ESSENTRICS® with an emphasis on developing Athletic Performance: open level, full body workout, covering all the ESSENTRICS® fundamentals (see descriptions below) but with special attention to the way ESSENTRICS® prepares the body for dance and other sports and sport-specific skills and stresses on the body.

NO, you do NOT need be a dancer or play a sport to take and benefit from this class!!! Moving athletically, and learning more about our own movement is something that makes us ALL feel stronger and more confident in our bodies!! Life is more fun when we treat it like a sport (need not be a competitive one…), and our bodies deserve the respect of being our central piece of equipment! So come check out this class regardless of your athletic background!

  • Mondays, 9 a.m.- 10:00 a.m. Gentle ESSENTRICS®/ “Aging Backwards” version of this program: This class is brought to you through ODC Dance Theater (Thank you ODC!) Please visit the ODC website, here, for registration details and any logistical/technical questions: gentle, full body, dynamic stretching workout, designed to release and wake up stiff, potentially weakened muscles to relieve pain and tension, and help us develop greater strength, posture, balance, range of motion, flexibility, body awareness, control and coordination. Leave this class feeling energized, loose, and limber, ready to take on the rest of your day.

  • Wednesdays at 10:30 -11:30 a.m. ESSENTRICS® : a full body workout for all ages and levels of fitness, designed (like all my workouts) to help us develop greater strength, functional posture, improved range of motion, flexibility, body awareness, control and coordination, all while hopefully having a really good time. Leave this class feeling like you had a great workout, but also uplifted, loose, limber, and refreshed!

If you have taken my class live, this should feel very familiar. My goal is for this class to be beneficial for any participant in the Friday, Saturday or Sunday classes to have an opportunity to take a second class per week, and still distribute their workouts.

  • **THIS CLASS IS CURRENTLY PAUSED Fridays, 2 - 3 p.m. ESSENTRICS® with an emphasis on relieving pain and tension: a gentler, slower paced workout compared to my other classes. I lead much of this class using a chair (either sitting or using it as a prop from a standing position), and this is a great class option for those with limited mobility or who would prefer to do some or all of the workout seated, for any reason.

Even though we are seated for part of the class (and of course you are welcome to do the whole class seated if that is most appropriate for you), the workout is still full-body and dynamic. It is a mindful movement session and opportunity to actively stretch all our muscles, but without being as physically strenuous as the standing-led classes, and also emphasizing the tension release, and pain relieving benefits of this program. This class will absolutely help us develop a stronger, more mobile and limber body, as well as injury-preventative posture and core strength.

My goal for this class, in addition to wanting to make my workout schedule more inclusive, is to help anybody who is interested learn how to modify the movements in order to do them from a chair so that s/he can attend any class in my schedule and take it comfortably, modifying it on her/his own.

This workout is also a great option for anybody who wants to be able to enjoy a more relaxing class, and the opportunity to pay *even closer* attention to the spinal and pelvic position and upper body movement details than we may be able in a typical standing-led workout.

People are welcome to stand and do the lower body portion of any exercise while I am sitting, just as people are always welcome to sit when I am standing, in my other workouts.

  • Saturdays, 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. ESSENTRICS®

This class is brought to you through ODC Dance Theater (Thank you ODC!) Please visit the ODC website, here, for registration details and any logistical/technical questions: full-body, dynamic stretch and mobility workout for all ages and levels of fitness, designed to help us develop greater strength, posture, balance, range of motion, flexibility, body awareness, control and coordination. Leave this class feeling like you had a great workout, but also uplifted, loose, limber, and refreshed!

    Payment

Classes offered through a particular venue are paid to that venue.

    • Register and pay for ODC classes, here.

All of my independent classes are DONATION BASED with a suggested donation of $10.

Truly... genuinely...sincerely... I am so happy to be able to offer these classes online so that I can keep them as affordable and accessible as possible, so that $ is NOT the obstacle for you (or your loved ones) bringing ESSENTRICS® into your life.

My mantra since beginning this teaching journey has been, "Make healthy movement accessible for EVERYBODY," and I have intended that to include all dimensions of access: from trying to offer classes in public places that are easy to get to, to making my classes physically safe, inclusive, and anti-competitive; to doing everything I can to make the classes financially accessible, so that money is not an obstacle keeping people from the class.

So please pick a donation amount that works with your budget to make it possible for you to attend as many weekly classes as you would like, for as long as you would like to attend them. No donation amount is too small.

And if you are not in a position to donate a monetary amount, please know there are a variety of non-monetary ways you can very meaningfully “pay” me that I appreciate more than you you imagine.

    A few options:

    • With your enthusiasm for the class and the energy you send me through the screen  (<3 I can feel it and it drives me!)

    • By sharing my information and inviting others to come try the classes (this is HUGE!...truly invaluable to me)

    • By writing a testimonial about your experience doing ESSENTRICS® with me that I can share on my website (again, immeasurably helpful to me)

PLEASE KNOW each of these gestures is much appreciated, whether or not you are paying a dollar amount!!

If you are able to pay, please make payments using whichever online or app based service you prefer, including: Venmo, PayPal, Apple Pay, Zelle (or introduce me to one I’ve never heard of)

Find me on those apps at:
